Come September, there is a buzzing energy in the air at J.B.. Majority of the school is involved in our annual fundraiser – The Variety Entertainment Programme (VEP). The students and teachers work tirelessly to put up a production that reflects the multi-talented nature of our student population. From dance, singing, yoga and drama to the designing of sets and posters, sourcing costumes and handling all the off-stage aspects of a production, the students spearhead it all.
Under the able guidance of impassioned teachers, the students learn qualities of collaboration, team building, meeting deadlines and the importance of working towards a shared vision. When the final curtain comes down, the students have gained much more than just time in the limelight, they are more compassionate, self-confident and empathetic individuals.
Our VEP would never be possible without the collaboration of our efficient Administration team and our support staff, who work tirelessly to ensure the success of the show. Our parent community also gets integrally involved, helping with dressing up the students, sourcing props that are needed and being there in the audience to always cheer for the children.
The most significant contribution of the parents is through their donations, advertisements and sponsorships. Contributing to our VEP signals your belief in the holistic education we provide, wherein we value the lessons learnt outside the classroom as much as what is taught inside.
